CM Home Study Course Approvals

Refer to each course description for the approvals for that course. Please determine if the course you have selected has the approvals which you need.

NBCC, LPC, MFT, and LCSW
Select courses are pre-approved for NBCC continuing education. CM Home Study is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP™) and may offer NBCC approved clock hours for programs that meet NBCC requirements. Programs for which NBCC approved clock hours will be awarded are identified in the catalogue and web site. The ACEP is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. (NBCC provider number 5484). Not all courses are applicable for NBCC contact hours. Some states accept NBCC approved home study courses for LPC and LCSW continuing education. Contact your state licensing organization for details.

MFT and LCSW
Select courses meet the qualifications for hours of continuing education for MFT's and/or LCSW's as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). CM Home Study is approved by the California BBS as a provider of continuing education (approval number PCE279) for MFT's and LCSW's. Courses, which do not have MFT/LCSW in the contact hour description, will not be issued a certificate for California BBS. "MFT/LCSW" IN THE COURSE DESCRIPTION REFERS TO CALIFORNIA BOARD OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES. California Board of Behavioral Sciences has indicated: "A licensee may accrue no more than twelve (12) hours of continuing education earned through self-study courses during a single renewal period" and "you can take only up to one-third of your required CE hours through self-study."

NAADAC, CAADAC, and substance abuse counselors
Select courses meet the qualifications for hours of continuing education for NAADAC and CAADAC. CM Home Study is approved by NAADAC (National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors) Approved Education Provider Program Provider Number 000195 and CFAAP/CAADAC (California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors) Provider Number 2C-95-295-0111. Courses offered for NAADAC continuing education are in the "Counseling Services" Counselor Skill Group. Not all courses are applicable for CAADAC or NAADAC CEH (Continuing Education Hours). Refer to course description for approval information and number of CEH's. NAADAC has indicated that no more than 12 hours of training may be under the home study program category.

Nurses
Selected courses meet the qualifications for hours of continuing education for Registered Nurses. CM Home Study is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider Number 10823. Not all courses offered meet the criteria for course content for California Board of Registered Nursing. Attention NURSES: Courses which do not have "RN" in the contact hours description will not be issued a certificate for California Board of Registered Nursing. "RN" IN THE COURSE DESCRIPTION REFERS TO CALIFORNIA BRN.

CCM, CRC, CDMS

Select courses are pre-approved as follows:

CCM (Certified Case Manager) by the Commission for Case Manager Certification

CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification

CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist) by the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission
